Please consider joining 500 other volunteers at a “MobilePack Event” for Feed My Starving Children. It will be a fun-filled, enjoyable and fulfilling 2 hours!
Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals formulated specially for starving children and the meals are shipped to more than 60 countries around the world.
Our goal for this event is to pack 100,000 meals which will feed more than 270 starving children for an entire year! Each meal costs .17 cents to produce. During the 2-hour packing session, the average person will pack approximately 300 meals. That breaks down to approximately $40 per volunteer, which is our donation goal. $17,000 is needed to pay for the production costs of these meals. It is not mandatory, we just ask you to give what you can. If you would like some ideas to help us with fundraising, please let us know!
Each person that is packing will need to register for this event.
Minimum age is grade 3
Bethlehem Lutheran Church is hosting this event to involve the whole community in a mission project for others in need. There are no borders to cross, shots to take, or long travel arrangements to make. Just give two hours of your time and minister to hungry children around the world.
Feed My Starving Children MobilePackTM events allow people across the United States to pack life-giving meals. In 2009, 85.1 million meals were produced with MobilePack volunteers across the nation. In 2010, the goal of FMSC is to produce over 100 million meals.
We invite your group – whether a church, business, or youth group – to host an event that provides a unique volunteer experience to reach children around the world.
